Joe Sitt, Chairman of leading global real estate firm, Thor Equities Group, spoke with Fox Business’ Stuart Varney on January 14th to discuss New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams and his plans for New York.
On Varney & Co., Joe Sitt discussed the new administration’s plans to increase security, welcome businesses back, and manage the Omicron spread in order to return to offices. He believes this past election was “an election for the future of the Democratic Party and the whole United States”, and a different outcome would have been dangerous for New York. As a member of Eric Adams’ Economic and Workforce Development Committee, Sitt will play an instrumental role working with the current administration to bring businesses back as the city navigates the Omicron spread and learns more about the science of this variant. As one of the leading life science real estate owners and developers, Sitt acknowledged his pivot to explore life science opportunities in the Southeast in 2014 but is confident the city will come back and “get its shot with Eric Adams”.
Thor Equities’ recent transactions include the sale of a life science asset in North Carolina, one of North America’s elite life science clusters, and the acquisition of three prime office buildings outside of Washington D.C. Thor owns life science campuses in prominent R&D clusters in New Jersey and Northern California and acquired over twenty industrial properties throughout the US and Europe in 2021.
